Tender is a maxi scarf as easy to make as it is beautiful, just a large band of jersey and an i-cord border. Choose your most beautiful skeins, your precious ones, those forgotten at the bottom of your stock, the color of your dreams and knit. A simple, soothing knit for a simply beautiful result.
 
Stockinette stitch is a stitch that will always tend to roll up (fold inward). To overcome this characteristic, we make an i-cord border on each side and knit a width large enough to have a nice fullness and a nice drape.
This scarf is easily adaptable to your desires. It is also possible to make stripes, color blocks, add fringes, replace 2/2 ribs with 1/1 ribs or twists, ...

SIZES: one size 15.75 X 70.75 inches / 40 X 180 cm.
 
GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4x4 in or 10 x 10 cm St st.
 
YARN: the scarf is knitted with two strands of fingering and lace yarn held together. Approximately 875 yards or 800 m each.  
 
MATERIALS: circular needles sizes 3.5 mm/US 4 (rib), 4 mm/US 6, tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers.
 
NOTES: sample knitted in KMS (72 % mohair, 28 % soie 50g = 420 m) and MSW (100 % Merinos sw – 100g = 400m) from Yarn by Simone color « Summertime Sadness ».
