After creating the Dunes sweater model, I had in mind to make this pretty ribbing zig zag stitch on a collar. 
The Dunes collar is available in two versions (or sizes) : a single high collar knitted in the round or a long double wrap cowl knitted back and forth then sewn with grafting. 
Both will be perfect for mid season walks.
 
SIZES : size 1 (simple cowl) : circumference 25.25 inches or 64 cm X 12 inches or 30 cm height.
Size 2 (double cowl) : 12 inches or 30 cm wide X 53 inches or 135 cm long (adjustable).
 
GAUGE : 22 sts x 32 rows for 4x4 in or 10 x 10 cm in ribbing zig zag.
 
YARN : size 1 : approximately 310 yards or 280 m each of fingering and lace weight yarn. 
Size 2 : approximately 550 yards or 500 m each of fingering and lace weight yarn. 
The cowls are knitted with two yarn held in together.
 
NOTIONS : Circular needles sizes 3,5mm/US 4 (rib), 4mm/US 6, tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker.
