PYRENEES is a unisex neck warmer for the whole family. It can be worn over a sweater as an extra layer on cold days or just over a blouse or shirt when it is too warm for a sweater.It is worked from the bottom of the front to the top of the shoulders then down to the lower back. The front is knitted in cables and the back in flat rib. The stitches of the collar are picked up on the opening of the collar and worked in the round in 1/1 rib.
 
LEVEL: Intermediate 2/3
 
SIZES: child 1 (2) adult 3 (4 - 5) 
Shoulder width approximately : 11,5 (12,5) 14.25 (15,5 - 17) inches or 29 (32,5) 36 (39,5 - 43) cm. 
 
GAUGE: 15 sts x 22 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.
 
YARN: this cowl is knitted with one strand of a worsted/aran weight yarn.
Approximately 235 (320) 460 (530 - 605) yards or 215 (295) 420 (490 - 560) m total. 
 
MATERIALS: needles sizes 5 mm/US 8 (rib and collar) and 6 mm/US 10 (front and back), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 6 stitch markers.
 
NOTES: the pattern is knitted using Grège (rouge from Roussillon and mérinos 6 fils - 100g = 130m) from Laines Paysannes.
