SMOKING is a comfortable and feminine sweater with a high neck or a turtleneck. It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly.
We start the yoke with the collar then the back and the front are formed by increases along a shoulder line and shortened rows. The back and front are then worked back and forth separately to the bottom of the armholes and then joined together to knit the body in the round. Several heights are available. The sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round.

Recommended ease: 4 to 8 inches or 10 to 20 cm of positive ease.
To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.
Sample is shown in size 3 with 6.25 inches or 16 cm of positive ease.
GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.

If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.
