Brune It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly in broken rib stitch. We start the yoke from the front then the half backs with a rounded neckline shaped with short rows. The body (back and front) is then worked in round. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round.

Finished bust circumference approximately : 34.5 (37.75 - 41) 44 (47.25 - 50.5) 53.5 (56.75 - 60) inches or 88 (96 - 104) 112 (120 - 128) 136 (144 - 152) cm.

 

GAUGE: 21 sts x 40 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in broken rib stitch with larger needles.

 

YARN: this sweater is knitted with a fingering (100g=400m) and lace (50g=420m) weight yarn held together.

Approximately 1370 (1430 - 1510) 1600 (1750 - 1850) 1970 (2160 - 2290) yards or 1180 (1230 - 1380) 1470 (1510 - 1600) 1700 (1860 - 2000) m of each yarn.

If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a Dk weight yarn.

 

NOTIONS: Needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (ribbing) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 2 stitches markers.

 

NOTES : the pattern is knitted using Aphrodite and Orphée color « Les pieds dans le sable » from Lainamourée.

 

Recommended ease : 4 to 8 inches or 10 to 20 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number. It is of course possible to adapt and knit a size with more or less ease than recommended.

Sample is shown in size 3 with 4.75 inches or 12 cm of positive ease.
