Landes is a comfortable jacket all in shaker ribs, knitted from top to bottom without seam. We start with the back then the fronts are raised on the top of the shoulders. The body (back and front) is then worked together. The stitches of the sleeves are picked up and then worked in the round. Pockets can be sewn on at the end.

YARN: this sweater is knitted with two strands of yarn: a DK weight and a lace weight held together. Approximately 1600 (1730 - 1840) 1900 (2100 - 2250) 2400 (2520 - 2720) 2930 yards or 1450 (1580 - 1680) 1730 (1900 - 2050) 2200 (2300 - 2500) 2700 m of each yarn.

If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a worsted weight yarn.

 

NOTIONS: Needles sizes 3.5 mm/US 4 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 6 stitches markers.

 

 

NOTES : the pattern is knitted in Pénéloppe from De Rerum natura and Mohair soir from Knitting for olive.

 

Recommended ease : 6 to 10 inches or 15 to 25 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number. It is of course possible to choose to have a knit more or less close to the body and to knit a size with more or less ease than recommended.
