BURANO is a cardigan with a V neckline. It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly.
We start the yoke with the collar in icord then the back and the front are formed by increases along a shoulder line. The back and front are then worked back and forth separately to the bottom of the armholes and then joined together to knit the body in back and forth. The button band is shaped in icord at the same time as the body. The sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round.

YARN: this sweater is knitted with a lace and a fingering weight yarn held together: Sweater version: approx 1100 (1200 - 1220) 1300 (1400 - 1460) 1580 (1720 - 1820) yards or 1010 (1080 - 1100) 1200 (1300 - 1340) 1450 (1580 - 1700) m of each yarn.If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.
 
NOTIONS: needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 and 3.5 mm/US 4 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves) 80 cm/32 inches, tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 6 stitch markers, meter to measure, 6 to 7 buttons of about 11 mm.
 
NOTES: the pattern is knitted using MSW (55% merinos sw, 20 % kid mohair, 25 % nylon – 400m = 100g) and KMS (72 % kid mohair, 28 % silk – 420 m = 50g) from Yarn by Simone color Rue Bonaparte.
