Cowgirl is a comfortable sweater, knitted seamlessly, top-down. You start knitting the yoke for the back then fronts are picked on the bottom from shoulders and formed with shorts rows. Then, the body (back and front) is worked in the round with a set of decreases to slightly tighten the bottom of the sweater. You will finish with the sleeves also worked in round using magic-loop or DPN.

 

SIZES: 1 (2 - 3) 4 (5 - 6) 7 (8 - 9)

Finished bust circumference approximately : 85 (90 - 100) 106 (115 - 125) 135 (145 - 155) inches or 95 (100 - 110) 116 (125 - 135) 145 (155 - 165) cm.

 

GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st with 4 mm/US 6 circular needles.

 

YARN: this sweater is knitted with two strands of yarn: a fingering weight and a lace weight held together. Approximately 955 (1065 - 1205) 1360 (1530 - 1635) 1885 (1985 - 2085) yards or 870 (970 - 1100) 1240 (1395 - 1495) 1630 (1720 - 1810) m of each yarn.
If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

 

MATERIALS: needles sizes 3 mm/US 3 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 2 stitches markers.

 

NOTES: recommended ease : 6 to 8 inches or 15 to 20 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.

Sample is shown in size 3 with 7 inches or 18 cm of positive ease.
